Ship Evaluations
The ship ratings and evaluations are a painstaking documentation of Douglas Ward’s personal work. All evaluations are based on an objective, and not subjective system, without bias, partiality, or prejudice of any form.

Over 400 separate components go into the make-up of a typical ship evaulation. These are filtered into 20 major sections (each receives a score out of 100 points). Due to space limitations, and to keep evaluations user-friendly, they are further filtered into six major sections:

Ship: hardware, maintenance, equipment, décor
Accommodation: penthouse suites, deluxe suites, cabins with or without private balconies, or exterior view
Cuisine / Dining: main dining rooms, alternative restaurants, casual eateries, food, menus, ingredients, wine lists
Service: dining rooms, bars/lounges, housekeeping, open decks, service staff, other hotel services
Entertainment: production shows, cabaret acts, bands, small combos, solo musicians
The Cruise Experience: activities, audio-visual entertainment, hospitality, overall product delivery

Each ship is then given a score out of 2,000 possible points and a final rating, from One Star to Five Stars +, the highest rating a ship can attain.
