Over 400 separate components go into the make-up of a typical
ship evaulation. These are filtered into 20 major sections
(each receives a score out of 100 points). Due to space limitations,
and to keep evaluations user-friendly, they are further filtered
into six major sections:
| Ship: |
hardware, maintenance, equipment, décor |
| Accommodation: |
penthouse suites, deluxe suites, cabins with or without
private balconies, or exterior view |
| Cuisine / Dining: |
main dining rooms, alternative restaurants, casual
eateries, food, menus, ingredients, wine lists |
| Service: |
dining rooms, bars/lounges, housekeeping, open decks,
service staff, other hotel services |
| Entertainment: |
production shows, cabaret acts, bands, small combos,
solo musicians |
| The Cruise Experience: |
activities, audio-visual entertainment, hospitality,
overall product delivery |
Each ship is then given a score out of 2,000 possible points
and a final rating, from One Star to Five Stars +, the highest
rating a ship can attain.
